Say what?

Day 2 and I am working on this website trying to figure out what it is I am supposed to say? It is one thing to feel called and quite another to feel confident enough to live that out. I mean, what do I have to offer that you haven't heard from someone more qualified than I? But here's the thing. I am you. That's my connection. I am an every day person living in the chaos of family and life trying to find meaning and with God's grace, I have found peace in my faith. So I know it's possible. Not reserved for the trained or professionals. So let me share some wisdom I have learned. Let's simply start with learning to be still. Learn to sit. Breathe. Empty the mind. And allow God to enter into that space and fill you. Yeah, I know its not easy. But even if you can do if for 5 minutes, it will change you. We are all in constant motion with the phone calling to us all day. We are overstimulated. The mind, body and soul needs the pause, the silence. Just try it for a few days. Find a place that is quiet. Breathe in slow. Pick a word or phrase you can say that will focus you. I say "Be" on breath in and "Still" on breath out. Slow that breath down as much as you can. When your mind starts to bring in thoughts, focus on your breath. In and out. In and out. Feel the moment in all of your body. This is how I start and end my day. And it brings peace. And every now and again, I hear God's voice in between my breaths. Trust me. This will bring you the peace that we are all seeking. Go ahead....just breathe!
